BzzAgent Launches Canadian Campaigns

  • May 10, 2006
Word-of-mouth marketing agency BzzAgent is breaking into Canada with a pair of buzz campaigns targeted at Canadian consumers. The campaigns, for publishing house Penguin and Unilever, will use trained Canadian "BzzAgents" to engage consumers and discuss products, including Unilever's new Knorr Frozen Foods, and Penguin's "Anybody Out There," by Marian Keyes. BzzAgent Founder David Balter said that BzzAgent expects the Canadian network to grow quickly, adding that the U.S. network grows at roughly 4,000 members a month. The Canadian networks are a step toward international expansion for BzzAgent, Balter said. "European expansion is in our plan, and we're moving our way there," he said, though they have not yet started recruiting European agents.
