L.A. Task Force Sets Local People Meter Summit for Today

Los Angeles-based Minorities in the Entertainment Industry Wednesday said it formed a task force that will hold an "economic summit" in Los Angeles tonight to explore the implications of a local people meter system Nielsen plans to roll out in the market on July 3. Nielsen and New York Congressman Charles Rangel have already organized a high-level task force of political and industry leaders to examine and address issues of concern, especially how the meters represent the viewing habits of minorities.
