More than three out of four companies that maintain corporate blogs--76 percent--report that their blogs spurred an increase in traffic or media attention, according to data released Monday by buzz monitoring company Cymfony and PR shop Porter Novelli. Additionally, 75 percent of companies with blogs reported having met their initial goals, according to Cymfony and Porter Novelli. Jim Nail, chief strategy and marketing officer at Cymfony, said that the results should encourage companies on the fence about starting a blog. "For companies that are or are still thinking about doing a blog, or just barely dipping their toe in the water, this should give them a little more confidence," he said.
