Effective mid-September, Crain Communications will name Crain’s New York Business publisher ALAIR TOWNSEND publishing director and JILL KAPLAN publisher of CNYB. Kaplan joins Crain’s New York Business from The Wall Street Journal where she is general manager of The Weekend Edition, Weekend Journal, Personal Journal and The Journal Report.
