HotSoup, a bipartisan political community and social networking site, officially launched today. The site includes pages created by 40 political organizations like the Sierra Club, the Republican National Committee and the American Association of Retired Persons, and pages maintained by 90 celebrity commentators. HotSoup was founded by Ron Fournier, former chief political writer for the Associated Press; Chip Smith, managing partner of Glover Park Group and former adviser to Al Gore; and Internet advertising veteran Allie Savarino, president of Sisterwoman.com.
