Media Kitchen Owners Change Recipe, Cede Control To Canadian 'Creative Patrons'

kirshenbaum bond + partners, the parent of Media Kitchen, Thursday said it sold a controlling stake to Toronto-based agency holding company MDC Partners. Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but MDC purchased a 60 percent of the U.S. ad shop, which claims $525 million in billings. It's unclear what the deal will mean for the fate of ultra hot Media Kitchen. In announcing the deal, kb+p partner Richard Kirshenbaum referred to Miles Nadal, chairman-CEO of MDC, as "the patron saint of creative agencies."
