In the carrier race to amass mobile content, Cingular Wireless Tuesday unveiled a mobile version of "Saturday Night Live" that includes video clips from current and classic shows and original material
created for the cell phone. Saturday Night Live Mobile will also let customers download "SNL"-themed ringtones and graphics. Through Cingular Video, subscribers will be able to watch more than 100
"SNL" clips, with shorts from the current season available the day after a show's airing. Access to the video service requires a 3G handset and signing up for Cingular's $19.99 Media Net Unlimited
package. The "SNL" deal comes a day after Cingular
announced a partnership to offer a mobile
version of social networking site MySpace.
