YellowPages.com Adds Send-To-Mobile Option

  • December 29, 2006
Local information provider YellowPages.com has added a new feature that enables consumers to send search results from PCs to mobile devices for future use. The send-to-mobile option appears next to both paid and upaid results, and allows one text-message to be sent per business listing. For data-enabled mobile phones, the messages also include business URLs. While users can search listings on the mobile version of YellowPages.com, the send-to-mobile feature is intended to provide another way to access information quickly on the go. YellowPages.com, a joint venture of AT&T Yellow Pages and BellSouth Advertising and Publishing, receives up to 70 million searches a month (including distribution through AOL Yellow Pages and Switchboard), according to the company Web site.
