Social news site Digg.com has secured an additional $8.5 million in venture funds, according to a report Thursday in Dow Jones' VentureWire. The new funds, by existing investors Greylock Partners and
Omidyar Network, come on top of a $2.8 million round the company raised last fall. Last week, the site
revamped its user
interface to focus more on podcasts and video.
