FTC Gets Complaint Against Subway Ads Run In NFL Games

A legal foundation promoting ethics in public life has asked the Federal Trade Commission to investigate deceptive Subway ads which appeared recently during broadcasts of NFL games. Ken Boehm, Chairman of National Legal and Policy Center, has filed a complaint with the FTC asking it to order Subway to stop its ads, which compare eating a foot-long Subway Club to eating a McDonald's Big Mac. Boehm says the ads claim "less fat," and they don't disclose that the sub has "more sodium, carbohydrates, calories and sugar than the Big Mac."
