LA Times Ups 2 Execs, Will Break News Online, Expand In Print

The Los Angeles Times Media Group announced two organizational changes. Current business editor Russ Stanton has been named to the newly created position of innovation editor, reporting directly to Jim O'Shea, editor of the newspaper. In that role, Stanton will work with editors and reporters across both news and features desks to turn the newsroom into a 24/7 operation that breaks news online, then expands into analysis in print. Also, Robertson Barrett, currently General Manager of latimes.com, will be be a vice president of the Los Angeles Times Media Group.
