It's a new digital world. And all new TV sets designed to receive over-the-air signals will now be capable of receiving digital broadcasts, too. And come 2009, all U.S. television broadcasts will be
exclusively digital, per the Federal Communications Commission. The edict is to help the public transition from the old analog technology to the new.
