Mattel's Barbie franchise will launch a new line of toys and accessories tied to the release this spring of Mattel Entertainment's DVD "Barbie Fairytopia: Magic of the Rainbow."

The Universal Studios Home Entertainment production is the 10th title in the Barbie movie franchise. The movie, which will be supported by dolls, accessories, playsets and lifestyle products, follows a fairy, Elina, who discovers the secrets of a crystal palace. Toys include an Elina doll and a "Rainbow Adventure" DVD game.

The company says the doll will be able to function as a remote control and interact with the game. There will also be Fairyoke Wings--a cross between the rainbow wings of Elina and a karaoke, with the wand serving as microphone and the wings lighting up and flashing to the beat of the music.
