Consumers Union, publisher of consumer product advice magazine Consumer Reports, Friday named a high-profile consumer magazine editor, Elizabeth Crow, as its new editorial director. Crow, a former
editor of Mademoiselle and Parents magazines, most recently was editorial director of Primedia's consumer magazine division. Consumers Union has been struggling to recast Consumer Reports and its
companion Web site for some time, as they struggle for relevancy amid a rise in consumer comparison shopping sites on the Web.
