Following its Super Bowl advertising appearance, Monster unveiled yesterday creative details about its "Portraits" campaign, which includes a series of seven commercials as well as online advertising.
Developed by Deutsch, New York, each spot features an appeal from a real-life job seeker in search of fulfilling work or an employer seeking a qualified candidate. "Portraits" represents the next
phase of Monster's "Today's the Day" brand campaign. Online rich media banner ads will run on sites including Weather.com, Lycos, and About.com. The "Portraits" TV spots will invite viewers to visit
monster.com to hire candidates or apply for positions. The first four ads are slated to debut on Feb. 9 in network primetime and cable. Monster has been a Super Bowl advertiser for six years. The
online jobs giant reports that 62,007 resumes were submitted on Feb. 2, a 16 percent increase from the day after last year's Super Bowl. On Feb. 3, 59,126 resumes were posted for a combined two-day
total of more than 120,000 resumes. That's a 20 percent jump compared to the average number of resumes submitted on Mondays and Tuesdays during the last six months.
