mtvU's Growth Spurs Exec Changes

  • July 25, 2007
Rapid growth and content acquisitions have resulted in three upper management changes at mtvU, the online, college-focused division of Viacom's MTV Networks that is broadcast to some 750 colleges across the country.

Andrew Federici has been named vice president of online properties and will be responsible for the development and growth of mtvU's online portfolio, which includes sites like the College Media Network and RateMyProfessors.com.

Federici comes to mtvU with portal management and revenue generation experience, having most recently served as Director of Proprietary Portals, IAC Consumer Applications and Portals.

mtvU also announced the promotions of Ross Martin, head of programming, and Chris McCarthy, head of marketing, to senior vice president and vice president, respectively. Both executives had been developing strategic partnerships and innovative content for the network since its launch in 2004.

All three will be based in New York and will report to Stephen Friedman, mtvU's GM and EVP.
