Monster Creates Website For NCAA Student Athlethes
Dec 22, 2003, 12:00 AM
Student-athletes at NCAA member schools have a new tool to help them with career guidance and information about a range of job opportunities. NCAA CareerCoach is a new website created by the NCAA in conjunction with corporate partner, Monster. The site can be accessed via the Association's website, www.ncaa.org, or by going directly to www.ncaacareercoach.com. The core function of NCAA CareerCoach is to assist student-athletes with career exploration and help those nearing graduation with job searches, but any student can access the site for career guidance. Resources on the website include career planning and career development best practices; guidance regarding networking; job interviewing and resume writing tips; and interactive tools like the "Major to Job Converter" and "Virtual Interview." NCAA student-athletes also can post their resumes and search for employment opportunities in their field of interest.
