Yahoo Launches Traffic Quality Center

Yahoo launched the Traffic Quality Center, dedicated to informing advertisers about quality-related issues and news.

The Traffic Quality Center includes a blog, FAQs and info on best practices for advertisers in the Web giant's Search Marketing program, the first of many initiatives led by Reggie Davis, Yahoo's vice president of marketplace quality.

Although the site is full of details on what Yahoo is doing to define, prevent and protect against click fraud, according to Davis, the Traffic Quality Center covers more than that single issue.

"We have a very strong incentive to drive down click fraud," said Davis. "Our advertisers lose money, we lose money, and it degrades the network. That's why we have a dedicated loss prevention and analytics division and back end refunding."

Davis added: "But the Traffic Quality center is more about our commitment to driving quality traffic and how we can continue to improve the advertiser experience overall."

As such, at http://trafficquality.yahoo.com, advertisers can find directions on how to submit a click investigation request, tips on how to monitor traffic, featured subscriber-submitted Q&A sessions regarding traffic quality, as well as details on the new traffic quality-based products.
