Yahoo Offers Peek At Upcoming Search Moves
Aug 21, 2007, 6:00 AM
David Pann, Yahoo vice president of marketplace and matching, described some new features Yahoo Search Marketing plans to launch on Aug. 28. His comments were made Monday at SES San Jose. Yahoo Search Marketing advertisers will be able to pay by using PayPal. Advertisers will be able to create, edit, copy, delete and view all saved ads (up to 20) for an ad group and in one place. Comparable ad performance will be viewable with one click. Advertisers will be able to view examples of ads using selected keywords. A best practices tip sheet will be available to view directly in the interface. Once a new ad is created, advertisers will be prompted to create another one, which activates ad testing--allowing advertisers to compare how ads in a specific ad group are performing against one another to help improve quality index score. Individual advertisers will be told when their quality index score is down. Every 30 days we'll check quality index scores, and if it's low, advertisers will get notice via email.
