Study: Use Search Engines To Reach Moms

Search engine marketing is a great way to reach moms, according to "Searcher Moms - A Search Behavior and Usage Study" study, prepared by DoubleClick Performics, Microsoft and ROI Research.

The study researched 1,000 mothers, and found that:

89% use the Internet at least twice/day

90% have been using it for more than seven years

86% said search engines are the most efficient way to find information

70% use search engines to gather information before making any online purchase

57% use search engines to gather information before making any offline purchase

64% use search engines to find out where to purchase products offline

64% use a search engine to gather more information after seeing an advertisement

An overview of the survey results were presented by Microsoft Research Manager Peiwen Li at Search Engine Strategies in San Jose.
