Medio Systems Snags Yahoo's John C. Kim
In his new role, Kim will report to Medio COO Robert Lilleness, bringing more than six years of search marketing and strategic experience to help develop and monetize the company's new mobile search marketplace.
Kim most recently served as senior director, strategic and product marketing at Yahoo, leading two Yahoo Search product marketing teams in the push to roll out the Panama platform. Kim has both a BA in economics from University of California, Santa Barbara and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
"[John] is one of the few individuals who has expertise as far back as the Overture days, extending into a successful run at Yahoo and now brings that combined expertise to Medio and the new Mobile Search marketplace we are building," said Lilleness. "Clearly, John will significantly augment our efforts in both the search and advertising spaces."
