Omnicom Group Buys Aaron Walton Entertainment

Omnicom Group Inc. has acquired Aaron Walton Entertainment (AWE), a Los Angeles-based entertainment marketing agency, responsible for such initiatives as allying Pepsi and Time Warner's Music Division to support "Choose Your Music," Pepsi's key summer music initiative, and bringing AT&T and Whitney Houston together for the famed "True Voice" national television campaign.

Under its new ownership, AWE will become a unit of Omnicom's Diversified Agency Services group. Omnicom's branded networks and numerous specialty firms provide advertising, strategic media planning and buying, direct and promotional marketing, public relations and other specialty communications services to more than 5,000 clients in more than 100 countries.
