Fox Interactive Media's 'Stranglehold' For Midway

Fox Interactive Media has launched an integrated campaign for the third-person shooter game "Stranglehold" from Chicago-based game publisher and developer Midway. The game--Midway's biggest release this year--is expected to be released in North America for the Xbox 360 today.

PC and PlayStation 3 versions will follow on Sept. 18 and 25, respectively.

The campaign's online outlets include MySpace, IGN, Team Xbox, IMDB, GameSpot, GamesRadar, and Rotten Tomatoes. Demonstrations are taking place on Xbox Live!, Marketplace, PlayStation Store and PC. Established sites include strangleholdgame.com, http://strangleholdcentral.ign.com and myspace.com/strangleholdgame.

Midway's multimillion-dollar marketing campaign also includes sweepstakes partnerships with Play! Magazine, GamesRadar.com and IGN.com., as well as a short film contest, broadcast and cable TV spots, out-of-home ads, in-store premiums, film festival sponsorships, and cross-promotions with Genius Products.
