Univision 41 Sweeps Key Categories In New York

In a first, Univision 41 (WXTV), the New York area's Spanish-language TV station, swept all three key audience categories for the entire summer season of 2007 in all key Saturday night time periods, regardless of language. Univision won New York's early local news race, the prime-time race, and the late local news race. Univision 41 was New York's most-watched TV station by persons ages 18 to 34, 18 to 49, and 25 to 54 in the following Saturday night time periods: Early local news (6 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.), prime time (8 p.m. to 11 p.m.), and late local news (11 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.) according to a study of Nielsen Station Index (NSI) Local People Meter (LPM) ratings for the four survey periods that encompass the summer TV season: June, July, August, and September (May 31 through September 19, inclusive).
