Overture Expands to South Korea

Overture Services, Inc. this week announced that it will expand to South Korea, one of the world's fastest growing and most wired Internet markets, in the first half of 2003. Korea will be Overture's fifth market outside the United States, including market-leading operations in the United Kingdom, Germany, France and Japan. Korea has more than 25 million Internet users, nearly 40%t of which have access to high-speed Internet connections. As part of its Korean market entry, Overture also announced an exclusive three-year commercial search distribution agreement with Daum Communications, which operates Korea's largest Internet portal (www.daum.net). Under the terms of the agreement, Overture will provide its top five Pay-For-Performance search results to Daum, enabling Overture's Korean advertisers to reach more than 89% of Korea's Internet users.
