FCC Chief Favors Relaxed Media Rules

Big media biz has a friend in FCC head Kevin Martin. He hopes to relax the media ownership rules that don't allow a company to own a newspaper and a radio or TV station in the same city. Two people who would benefit from a rule change are: Samuel Zell, who wants to buy the Tribune Company, and Rupert Murdoch, who wants to continue controlling The New York Post, The Wall Street Journal and a Fox TV station in New York.
