Imaginova Corp. appointed Jay Kirsch vice president of corporate development, effective immediately.

He joins the New York-based digital media and commerce company in the midst of a rapid expansion of its portfolio of Web properties (with the acquisition of Newsarama.com as its most recent deal. Kirsch's responsibilities will involve sourcing, evaluating and executing mergers, acquisitions and strategic growth opportunities. Kirsch comes to Imaginova from AdMedia Partners, where he most recently served as a Director responsible for expanding the firm's digital media M&A practice. According to Dan Stone, Imaginova's president and CEO, Kirsch's past media-specific M&A experience is what makes him an instrumental player in the execution of the company's aggressive growth strategy.
