LA Newspapers Get AdStar Classifieds

AdStar has signed a contract with the Los Angeles Newspaper Group (LANG), a division of MediaNews Group, to provide Web-based classified advertising sales functionality for LANG's eight member websites. As a result of the agreement, AdStar will power the online classified ad transaction services for LANG's newspapers, including the Inland Valley Daily Bulletin (www.dailybulletin.com), Long Beach Press-Telegram (www.presstelegram.com), Los Angeles Daily News (www.dailynews.com), Pasadena Star-News (www.pasdenastarnews.com), Redlands Daily Facts (www.redlandsdailyfacts.com), San Bernardino County Sun (www.sbsun.com), San Gabriel Valley Tribune (www.sgvtribune.com), and the Whittier Daily News (www.whittierdailynews.com). The combined Sunday circulation of these newspapers is more than 585,000. LANG is owned by MediaNews Group -- the seventh largest newspaper company in the United States, which publishes 50 daily newspapers and 94 non-daily publications in 12 states.
