Mickelson, Crowne Plaza Looking For No. 1 Fans

For its new ad campaign, Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts isn't just tapping the talents of PGA champ Phil Mickelson, it's enlisting his entire family. Mickelson and his wife, parents and in-laws are holding casting calls in New York, L.A. and San Diego to find fans who are avid enough to make the cut. Specifically, they are looking for fans with advice for Phil, those whose left-handedness has taken them to greatness, and those who have actually been hit by one of Phil's golf balls, as well as Mickelson look-alikes. Those who are chosen will appear in a series of six 30-second TV spots for the hotel chain. The company is also encouraging video submissions at ameetingwithphil.com.
