NBC Announces Mobile Web Sites For 2008
Jan 30, 2008, 8:00 AM
NBC on Tuesday announced its full roster of 40 mobile Web sites for 2008, including 10 soon-to-be launched sites for shows such as "Saturday Night Live," "Last Call with Carson Daly," "Lipstick Jungle," and "American Gladiators."
NBC.com already maintains some mobile sites for shows including "Deal or No Deal" and "Biggest Loser" as well as the "Heroes" Trivia and "Create Your Own Hero" mobile games. In February, NBC.com will also roll out send-to-mobile widget on all show sites.
"We are experimenting and learning as much as we can in this space given the proliferation of cell phones in the market," said Vivi Zigler, executive vice president, NBC Digital Entertainment. In the fourth quarter of 2007, NBC.com drew more than 1.6 million page views on its WAP sites.
