Oscars: Show Will Go On

The show will go on--with or without its writers. That's what Sid Ganis, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Science president, told AP on Wednesday. The film academy is planning for two possibilities: "The show we would love to do and ... a show that we would prefer not to do," Ganis said. The latter includes a heavy reliance on Oscar history and the use of film clips. The academy is in current talks with the Writers Guild.
