Visa Partners with James Bond
Jun 18, 2002, 12:00 AM
Visa International has announced an international marketing partnership with MGM and EON Productions' latest James Bond film, Die Another Day, produced by Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli and set for release on November 22, 2002. Working with its six international regions, Visa will have movie-based promotions underway in a number of countries around the world prior to the release of the film. Since its first partnership with Tomorrow Never Dies, Visa has used the 007 property as a means of providing a global motion picture-based advertising and promotional platform to its 21,000 member financial institutions. This will be the third tie-in with 007. Visa previously partnered with MGM on the last two Bond movies, The World Is Not Enough (1999) and Tomorrow Never Dies (1997). With the Tomorrow Never Dies partnership, Visa promoted the film to over six million cardholders in more than 10 countries around the world. The World is Not Enough was promoted to eight million Visa cardholders in 19 countries.
