Nielsen//NetRatings today announced the recipients of three distinguished Webby awards: Top U.S. Property, Top Global Property and Rising Star. In the U.S., AOL Time Warner claimed the top property distinction. Yahoo! took the top spot as the No. 1 Global Property at home. Emode.com, a self-discovery site featuring personality tests and evaluations, was awarded the Rising Star award. The Top U.S. Property distinction was awarded to the site that attracted the largest audience at home and at work during the month of May, while the Top Global Property award went to the Web property with the largest worldwide audience at home. The Rising Star award recognized the fastest growing site, measuring the unique audience traffic during the month of May as compared to the first four months of the year. The awards were presented by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences and were based on Nielsen//NetRatings' Internet rankings.
