RadioShack Wants Extreme Fans
Jun 27, 2002, 12:00 AM
RadioShack, in conjunction with Major League Baseball and 2002 Hall of Fame inductee Ozzie Smith, has launched a promotion to find the most dedicated and passionate baseball fans. It has set up a sweepstakes in which customers and baseball fans are invited to submit a short essay (and optional photograph) between now and Aug. 11 that documents why they, or someone they know, is deserving of the title "Xtreme Fan." The grand prizewinner will receive an all-expense paid trip for two to a game of the 2002 World Series and get to sit with Hall of Fame inductee Ozzie Smith for part of the game. One first prizewinner will receive an all-expense paid trip for two to the 2003 All-Star Game exhibition in Chicago. One thousand runner-up entrants will receive a #10 Johnny Benson Major League Baseball die-cast car. RadioShack is an official sponsor of Major League Baseball since 2000.
