GrubHub.com and Sittercity.com Ink Cross-Promotional Deal

  • March 5, 2008
Parents up for a night on the town won't have to worry about finding the right sitter or a good meal for the kids while they're gone--as family-focused properties Sittercity.com and GrubHub.com have partnered to promote each other's services.

At Boston-based Sittercity.com, parents find a list of pre-screened local sitters available in their area, as well as sitter ratings, reviews, and access to references. Now, after they've booked their sitter they can click over to GrubHub.com to order a meal for the sitter and the kids.

Chicago-based GrubHub.com aggregates all of the menus, coupons and delivery info for restaurants in cities including Chicago, Boston and San Francisco, then gives users a list of options that deliver to their address.

"Too often, hiring a babysitter means whipping up a box of mac and cheese before rushing out the door," said Matt Maloney, CEO of GrubHub.com. "This partnership brings families many more options. Whatever cuisine they choose, GrubHub and Sittercity will make sure parents have a free and easy way to check dinner for the kids off of their long to-do lists."
