Taylor Goes Back To GM Planworks

  • Ad Age, Wednesday, March 12, 2008 10:16 AM

Ken Taylor is returning to Publicis Groupe's GM Planworks to run the dedicated shop for General Motors Corp. A spokeswoman for Starcom MediaVest Group say he will succeed Dennis Donlin on April 1 as general manager and president. He is currently executive vice president-group client leader at Starcom USA, Chicago, responsible for the Kellogg and Lego accounts.

A prior stint at GM Planworks was as senior vice president-managing director where he was part of the team that helped form the agency that is solely dedicated to buying and planning for GM's $3 billion account. Taylor has spent his entire career at the same agency -- joining Leo Burnett's media department out of college as a media estimator/coordinator on the Phillip Morris, United Airlines and Dean Witter accounts. He later moved up to media buyer/planner, then media supervisor on Reebok and other accounts, then assistant media director on the Procter & Gamble and McDonald's accounts.
