'C' Radio To Launch With Perez Hilton

  • April 9, 2008
Popular gossip blogger Perez Hilton will launch a twice-daily three-minute radio report on May 5 as the first offering of a brand-new content provider--"C" Student Entertainment--formed by veteran radio and cable executives Steve Lehman and Andy Schuon. Lehman was founder and former chairman/CEO of Premiere Radio Networks; Schuon was the former head of programming for MTV, MTV2, VH1 and Infinity Broadcasting (now CBS Radio). The founders said the new company, which will feature "compelling" personalities like Perez, will focus on cross-platform opportunities with the Internet and mobile media. The company name comes from one of Schuon's mentors, Sirius Satellite Radio CEO Mel Karmazin, who once remarked that radio was populated by "C" students.--Les Luchter
