Sync it, G

I'm willingly tied to Google Calendar as my main scheduling agent. I've struggled dealing with GCal and Microsoft Outlook's Calendar since obtaining my Palm Treo this summer. I'm so happy with Google Calendar that I refuse to use Outlook for personal uses, but yet there was no easy interface for my mobile device.

Up until recently, nothing willingly - or effectively - synced the two to my liking. And along came Google with an official helper. It's a program that automatically syncs the calendars. Contrary to the shareware that was floating around, this is absolutely free.

It's amazing how a single product/brand can rule my life. I refused to give into MS Outlook's calendar function on my phone, instead resorting to loading Pocket IE and digging up Google Calendar's mobile page. That's not exactly efficient, but I was determined to stay attached to Google Calendar.

The waiting paid off. Now, I can have the best of both worlds.

It's scheduling bliss.

Hey, I use a Treo and also Google Calendar. Have you tried GooSync (goosync.com)? I will sync your Treo calendar with Google Calendar. You download the sync app to Treo, then tell it to sync. It works both ways too. Best of all its free. Well the basic app is, the extra costs about $30/yr. But the free versions does almost all I need. Cheers, Jack
