Golfer Michelson Stars In Crowne Plaza Spots

The four ads, which broke last week, have golf great Phil Mickelson hosting fans in a Crowne Plaza meeting room. The effort, via Fallon Minneapolis, builds on the hotel's golf affinity platform and showcases Crowne Plaza as "The Place to Meet."

The resort chain signed the No. 2 PGA Tour golfer early this year to promote it for conventions.

The company launched, at which consumers could submit videos proving they look like Mickelson, detailing how they were hit by one of his balls, or offering advice, or who have achieved greatness for being left-handed.

The company has 300 hotels in 51 countries.
