Revs Fall: Metro Shutters Papers, Cuts Jobs

Metro International, the biggest publisher of free daily papers around the world, said revenue fell 6.1% to $116 million in the first quarter from a year earlier. Metro has a daily circulation of 23 million copies in 23 countries. To combat its economic problems, it is closing papers and cutting jobs. The online ops will be boosted.
