MySpace Launches Application Gallery

  • April 25, 2008
MySpace on Thursday launched an application gallery where users can browse and integrate various applications into their MySpace home page and profile.

The MySpace.com home page will now feature an application gallery icon at the top of the page. The gallery's splash page is being launched with featured apps in an effort to promote popular applications and support developers.

With some 1,000 approved applications available--in a variety of categories from music, politics and causes, quizzes and polls, video and more--the gallery has so far provided more than 2.1 million installs to the MySpace community in its beta form.

All approved applications will have their own profile page, similar to MySpace user pages, so users can "friend" any approved MySpace application. The Application Gallery will be accessible to all international MySpace users in their native language.
