CBS News announced that Bob Schieffer, 71, the network's chief Washington correspondent "Face The Nation" anchor, has been signed to a long-term agreement. He will continue to contribute to "CBS
Evening News With Katie Couric" and "The Early Show," as well as to CBS News' political and Campaign '08 coverage. Schieffer has covered all four major beats in D.C.: the White House, the Pentagon,
the State Department and Capitol Hill.
