Cablevision Launches Anime Network on Demand

Cablevision Systems Corp. has launched the Anime Network On Demand as Cablevision's seventh subscription video on demand service for its iO: Interactive Optimum digital cable customers. The SVOD service has more than 700 titles available from HBO, Showtime, Cinemax, Fox, Disney Channel and Playboy. There is also access to hundreds of a la carte movies and on-demand content, including Mag Rack's collection of niche video magazines and public television's Thirteen On Demand. Initial programming will include more than 20 hours of regularly refreshed feature films and multi-episode series. Over the next few months, the amount of programming available to iO customers through Anime Network on Demand will nearly double. The Anime Network SVOD package will be available beginning July 1 for $6.95 a month.
