Kayak Launches Display Ad System Using Search Criteria

Travel search site Kayak.com has launched a display ad system that targets messages based on search criteria including destination, trip dates, length of stay and specific airline, hotel and car brands.

The site will offer banners in Interactive Advertising Bureau-standard units of 180x150, 160x600 and 300 x250. Kayak.com and its affiliated Web sites generate nearly 200 million ad impressions per month on air, hotel and rental car search result pages, according to the company.

Kayak already runs text ads for more than 2,100 travel brands across its network Sidestep.com, TravelPost.com and TravelSearch.com.
