PGA, Anheuser-Busch Join G8Wave In Mobile Campaign

Mobile marketing company g8wave is partnering with Anheuser-Busch and the PGA Tour to launch a text-messaging campaign in advance of The Barclays, the first tournament of the 2008 FedExCup Playoffs series.

To promote the event taking place in Paramus, N.J. from Aug. 19-24, g8wave will create a mobile contest allowing fans to enter by texting in to win prizes including a chance to play golf at The Barclays host Ridgewood Country Club, or VIP packages to New York Yankees or New York Giants games.

Anheuser-Busch will give away dozens of Michelob Golf prize packs, which include golf paraphernalia. For the SMS campaign starting in mid-July, the beer giant will also promote the contest at point of sale and in prize packs.
