Google Inc. has agreed to a request from Deutsche Bahn AG to block links on the Internet search engine to extreme leftist material that is illegal in Germany. A spokeswoman for the California Internet company said that it may take a few days to ensure that Germans cannot access the illegal material through the search engine, but the company is in the process of blocking access to the articles. Deutsche Bahn, which operates the German railroad, asked Google, Yahoo Inc. and Alta Vista to block links to articles that describe how to destroy railway equipment. One article in particular is titled "A Short Handbook on the Destruction of Railroad Transport of All Kinds," and was published in 1996 by the banned magazine Radikal.
