Yahoo! Inc. has appointed Daniel Rosensweig, a former executive at CNET Networks, as the company's chief operating officer, replacing Jeff Mallett. In mid-January, Yahoo! announced Mallett was leaving
the company to pursue other interests. Friday is expected to be Mallett's last day with the company, where he worked for seven years. Rosensweig will oversee Yahoo!'s product development, marketing,
international and North American operations.
