Glam Hires Former DoubleClick Exec For Japan Office
Yamamura joins Glam from DoubleClick Japan, where he was CEO and most recently from Excite Japan, where he was CEO since 1999. Glam Media connects brand advertisers with its global publisher network of more than 600 fashion, living and entertainment Web sites, and is number one in reach for women online, with a reach of more 77 million unique consumers worldwide.
An Internet pioneer in Japan, Yamamura spent his career focused on the display brand advertising market and launched one of the leading portals and women's destination sites in Japan. As the CEO of DoubleClick Japan, he was responsible for setting up the first Internet advertising media network service in Japan. Later at Excite, Yamamura launched the company in 2002 as subsidiary of Itochu Corporation and managed it since then as a separate, publicly listed entity. --Tanya Irwin
