Alpha Media Group, parent company of Maxim and Blender magazines, has tapped Steak as its search marketing agency. Mark Schwartz, the agency's new vice president of business development, secured the new accounts.

Steak will manage search marketing campaigns for Maxim Digital, which encompasses Maxim.com, Blender.com and Stuffmagazine.com. "They understand the intersection between media and entertainment--and how online, and in particular search--can be used to drive a media brand forward," said Chrysi Philalithes, Steak New York's launch managing director.

Both of the new accounts were closed by Schwartz, who joined Steak from TMP Directional Marketing, where he had previously served as vice president of interactive sales. --Tameka Kee
