Last week, the MeasureCast Internet Radio Index(tm) returned to February listening levels, dropping 4.8% from a value of 148 to 141. The index has declined a total of 13.3% during the past two weeks. However, online listening to stations measured by MeasureCast has increased 41% since January. Updated weekly, the index is a representation of the trend in Total Time Spent Listening (TTSL) across a spectrum of stations measured by MeasureCast.
MeasureCast Top 25 List Newcomers:
Several new stations made it to the MeasureCast Weekly Top 25(tm) list. ESPNRadio.com took sixth place by streaming 35,783 hours last week. ESPNRadio.com is the online home of the nation's largest sports radio network, ESPN Radio. The all-sports network gives listeners the latest sports news, scores, analysis and discussion, as well as big-name interviews from the world of sports. Other newcomers to the Top 25 include: LaMusica's El Zol/WXDJ 95.7, Amor 93.1 FM, and WRMA-FM Romance 106 stations; and Positive Life Radio from Walla Walla College in Washington state.
Among the 24 comparable stations in the MeasureCast Weekly Top 25(tm), 12 stations experienced an increase in TTSL, including LaMusica's El Zol (68%) and Amor FM (48%) stations; 3Wk Underground radio (42%); Jazzmanmusic.com (41%); and WOLF-FM (58)%. Fourteen stations showed an increase in Cume (estimated audience size).
